ON THE ROAD WITH THOR RVs

Thor Industries is a leading manufacturer of RVs in the United States. In 2018, they partnered with Roadtrippers to develop a creative component to their site—a section where we could hear from real people who reveled in life on the road.

Working with travelers, vagabonds and nomads, we created multiple threads of storytelling with the following series of content:

  • Stories from the Road: First-hand accounts of significant journeys that helped change the way people saw the world

  • Window to the World: Snapshots of beautiful, ever-changing views through an RV window

  • Firsts: Stories of learning things the hard way, coupled with advice and tips for readers so they can avoid the same mistakes

  • A Taste of Wild: Inventive recipes that can be made on the road, proving that road trip food can be sophisticated without being fussy

  • Hauling Toys: Experiences taking recreational vehicles to some of the best spots in the country, and driving the specialty RVs that get them there

Though the content was provided by authors found via blogs, social media, online videos and more, I helped Roadtrippers by editing, proofreading, ghostwriting and shaping the content to best relay the stories we featured. I organized internal processes to help route everything efficiently, from influencer to client, and developed input processes to collect all needed information to make the stories robust and well-rounded. No matter how rough or well-written our authors’ first drafts are, we believe their stories deserve to be told—and I helped those stories achieve the same high level of readability, engagement and detail to best represent Thor Industries as a brand.
